When the Walker siblings are informed that their mother has died, they must travel back home to Daleville, Tennessee to attend her memorial service. While there for the weekend, each sibling is forced to confront the many secrets that they have been keeping from the family. Lucy must face the wedge that she placed between her and her brother during high school. Mason, who hasn’t been the same since an almost fatal accident, must accept the reason why his life is careening out of control. Jake, divorced with two children, ignores his own problems by chain smoking and trying to fix everyone and everything around him. Florence, the youngest, flaunts a perfectly put-together lifestyle on social media, but in reality she feels completely alone and lost.
While sorting through their mother’s hoarded possessions, the siblings uncover a family secret that has been buried for decades. As they try to wrap their minds around this new discovery, the four of them begin to see their own secrets coming into the light one by one—some that could bring their family to the brink of disrepair. With deep-rooted sibling rivalries, addiction, lust, and long-held internal conflicts to overcome, the Walker siblings struggle to find the connection they once had with one another. Before the weekend ends, the four of them will have to decide whether they are able to forgive and let go of the past or to ultimately choose to abandon their relationships with one another altogether.
